I told you guys you wouldn't be rid of us ;) But anyhow, in case you haven't noticed, things are going sort of slow right now, which is okay, but since it's nearing the end of the year, and the Red Balloon Project hasn't quite yet left the mark on Redmond Junior High that we want it to, we'd love to make the last few days of work count!
So, first of all, regarding the food drive, Jennifer and I came to the conclusion that due to grocery store managers that suspiciously
don’t seem to exist difficulties with contacting the stores and sorting the details out, we're probably not going to do the food drive. If any of you guys are making the awesome decision to go STEM (yeahh buddy :D) then we're thinking about perhaps doing food drives in the future there when we have more time to set things up, and you definitely will have opportunities to set up something similar at RHS-- we're just don't think the time we have will permit us to do it now.
The point is, we still want to find a way to reach out to our school somehow and almost give a final thank you to RJH. Jennifer came up with the idea of possibly giving teachers an appreciative gift of some sort (whether it be cupcakes, cookies, etc.) and then attaching a note to each of them with a thank you. I think that this would be awesome, but really we're all up for ideas here, so if any of you have anything you'd like to share, that'd be awesome:) Another thing to keep in mind is that Sydney ordered a lot of fantastic looking buttons, and since we've already paid for them, if you could come up with an idea that incorporates them, that would be great. Oh also, potential summer ideas are welcomed too. :)
Let's make our last month at RJH and part of the Red Balloon Project count! #YOLO
Haha thanks everyone,
Christina Dias
