Job Title: Senior Software Performance Engineer

Location: Austin TX OR 100% REMOTE

Duration: Long Term

VISA: GC / USC ONLY

 

Key Qualifications:

o   Minimum 5+ years of proven hands-on software performance testing experience

o   Experience in performance testing of service-oriented architecture and RESTful APIs.

o   Experience in end-to-end performance analysis using APM and profiling tools

o   Strong knowledge of Python and Pandas framework

o   Strong knowledge of SQL

o   Experience in data analysis and visualization

o   Working knowledge of software development and test methodologies including unit testing, integration testing, and TDD.

o   Continuous automation execution using CI tools like Jenkins.

o   Code change management skills using Git or other VCS.

o   Knowledge of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.

o   Strong knowledge of Windows, MacOS and Unix based operating systems 

 

Following experience is a plus:

o   Knowledge of Cloud-based platforms

o   Strong understanding of modern database systems

o   Algorithms and O-Notation

o   SAP technologies

o   SCI Domain knowledge

 

Description:

o   Design and execute performance tests with an understanding of functional and non-functional requirements to provide high value, high accuracy results

o   Work efficiently with various profiling and APM tools to identify performance bottlenecks and provide root cause analysis

o   Participate in architecture and design reviews of complex solutions in cross-team engineering efforts, pinpoint possible performance bottlenecks and come up with creative solutions to performance problems

o   Define, develop and apply performance and scalability benchmarks

o   Work in cross-functional teams to characterize, debug, and improve system performance and scalability

o   Design, run and analyze tests results to evaluate performance impact of any changes introduced to an existing system

o   Design & develop first class automated performance test frameworks.

o   Integrate performance tests in CI/CD pipeline, establish a continuous build and test cycle.

o   Establish processes and tool sets to maintain scripts and generate regular test reports.

o   Develop high-quality performance tests engineering principles, test strategies, and best practices
