Skill Set:

·         10+ years of application development with 8 of those years programming in UI/UX Design and Best practices.

Description of Responsibilities:

·         Work with others in development team to design and develop software to meet business needs

·         Work through complex workflows and test cases required as part of a feature add or fix.

·         Continuously grow and improve in skills and shared understanding of product and technology

·         Work with off-shore/on-shore leads to ensure shared understanding of technology and requirements during projects and sprints.

·         Participate in Sprint Grooming, Planning, Reviews and Retrospectives.

·         Participate in code reviews, unit testing, pair-programming

User Interface Developer

·         Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS,Bootstrap and AngularJS is a MUST.

·         Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

·         Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

·         Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.

·         Experience developing web applications with Java, Python, and NodeJS is a plus.

·         Experience with Analytics, machine learning or Medical Imaging is PLUS.

·         Experience with public cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services or Azure is a PLUS

·         Able to design a UI to handle concurrent resource modification

Title: Hadoop Developer

Location: Jacksonville, FL

 

Desired Skills:

•        Hands-on working experience on Spark, Hive and HBase is a MUST

•        Experience of working as a Big Data modeler

•        Strong experience in Hadoop development and implementation.

•        Good knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices

•        Ability to write MapReduce jobs And/or Pig Latin Scripts

•        Proven understanding with Hadoop, Hive, Pig, and HBase

•        Strong experience on large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions like Amazon Web Services or Elastic MapReduce is desirable

•        Analytical and problem-solving skills, applied to Big Data domain

•        Good aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts

•        Good to have experience in big data solutions like Impala, Oozie, Mahout, Flume, ZooKeeper and/or Sqoop.

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 12 months  

  

Job Description

This role with work with developers and administrators in areas like:

1.       Enabling and configuration of new Hadoop services

2.       Troubleshooting e.g. integrations, configuration and performance

3.       Deployments

4.       POCs

5.       Train our staff (future admins) via sessions and documentation

6.       Gather cluster metrics and project sizing needs

 

For above, proficiency is expected in:

·         Linux (Redhat or CentOS) – preferably certified in RedHat

·         Preferable certified in Cloudera or Hortonworks distribution

·         Low-level knowledge (inner workings and real experience) with cluster health, Hive, Hbase and Spark

·         Working knowledge of Hortonworks DLM, DPS – or equivalent for Hadoop backup / DR solutions

·         Working knowledge of Knox, Kerberos, Phoenix, Atlas, Livy, and Nifi

 

Knowledge in these areas will be also helpful:

2. Experienced and well versed with Agile Execution methodology
3. Experienced and well versed with scripting languages (Python) and Test Automation Tools (Squish)  
4. Hands on experience creating Automated test scripts from test design and/or manual test cases
5. Good Communication skills (Verbal and written)
6. Knowledgeable on the Defect Management lifecycle
7. Experience working in the Medical domain or the Life Sciences domain – good to have
8. Experience working in the onshore + offshore model, coordinating with multi-site teams – good to have
