Role: DevOps Automation Architect
Location: Boston, MA (Remote)
Duration: Long Term
This role can potentially be performed fully remotely from home within the United States.
As a DevOps Automation Architect you will be part of an exciting transformation Global Banking Modernization program where you will develop technical architecture roadmaps for CI/CD pipelines used for various fit-for-purpose environments and review and implement industry best practices and technologies to reduce incidents including response time and time to resolution. In this role you will drive automation solutions for private/hybrid/public cloud platforms focused on infrastructure provisioning, continuous integration, continuous build, test automation, monitoring automation, alerting, auto-ticketing, risk management, software life-cycle management, and AI/ML automation. You will designs solutions for interface simulators to provide production-like behaviours and develop strategies for incorporating test bed data to be used real-time and/or during environment provisioning. You will champion transitional architectures to enable successful migrations from current state to target state including defining reference and implementation architectures. Your leadership will promote that all implementation solutions support architecture objectives of availability, scalability, performance, security, maintainability, flexibility, portability, and reusability.
What you will be responsible for
As a DevOps Automation Architect you will
· Design with DevOps engineers complete monitoring and alerting solutions with granular logging, auto ticketing, proactive alerting using ML/AI
· Evaluate and prototype with DevOps engineers the best automation software and tools and provide comparisons and recommendations
· Drive conversations with vendors solutions for use cases needed and function as the lead point of contact for drill-down sessions, follow-ups, and evaluations
· Execute DevOps efficiency and performance assessments for continuous improvement opportunities
· Analyze the end-to-end service stack for resiliency and efficiencies
· Architect flexible and dynamic automation processes that are easily updated as changes occur
· Lead design solutions for validating environment deployments
· Design solutions capable of retrieving, altering, and reusing test bed data
· Evaluate and implement solutions for executing synthetic user and systematic health monitoring capabilities
· Promote ML/AI practices to provide proactive monitoring and alerting
· Participate and contribute to discussions involving application architecture, configurations, systems performance tuning, and infrastructure and middleware integration

Education & Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in related or relevant field
· 3+ years’ experience as DevOps Architect
· 3+ years’ experience as a software developer
· Strong Experience with scripting languages and other CI/CD automation tools/frameworks such as Maven, GIT, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Spinnaker, Bitbucket, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Groovy, Python, Gitlab, Bamboo, Powershell, Bash, VMware/Hyper-V, SonarQube, Fortify, BlackDuck, SonarQube, Fortify, Ruby, Perl, PHP, GO, and Java
· Experience automating deployments for containerized environments (Docker and Kubernetes)
· Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix, Checkmk, and Dynatrace
· Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
· Experience with selenium & Cucumber BDD framework
Additional requirements
· Experience in working at large financial services organizations
· Experience with banking payment systems
· Ability to make strong analytic decisions, including situations with ambiguity and/or uncertainty
· Knowledge of the ISO 20022 banking payments standard messages and data models
