Java SOA Developer

New York, NY

NOTE: Client is looking for Strong Java Developer with extensive experience in SOA. (Not a SOA developer)

 

Job description:

• Should have 7-10 years experience in Java technologies
• Must have experience in Java development and Oracle SOA Suite in 12c and exposure to Java technology.
• Should have good experience on SOA OSB + BPEL.
• Should have good experience on Java and familiar with microservices and Javascript.
• Should be very strong fundamentals on Oracle OICS and other cloud related technologies.
• Should be strong in building Oracle BPEL, Mediator, XSLT ,SOAP, REST APIs, Agents, File Stage in OICS.

 

 

Position: 2

Oracle Apex Developer

New York, NY

Note: Client is looking for a strong backend Oracle Developer with min 2 projects on Apex (should be on the resume).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop a strategy to implement, operate and manage effective database solutions based on Oracle APEX technology together with the entire Oracle APEX team

• Design, development, roll-out and maintenance of Oracle APEX – Applications, mostly in the finance business

• Provide advice and guidance on how to set up efficient processes and workflows in an Oracle APEX environment

• Consult the business in process- and technology related questions and topics

• Manage the whole lifecycle including continuous improvements, incident- and quality management

• Provide quality assurance oversight and management of other consultants/developers on the project

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Information Technology preferred; Bachelor’s degree in related field required at a minimum

• 2-5 years of experience in design, implementation and roll-out of Oracle-APEX applications

• Advanced skills in PL/SQL, skills in JavaScript, HTML and CSS

• Experiences in managing projects in a rapid development environment

• Programming knowledge in VBA (EXCEL) and / or knowledge in Windows-Server administration would be an advantage

• Ability to work in an international team and effectively with people at all levels of the organization

Role: Ruby on Rails Developer

Job Details:

Client is currently migrating from legacy Ruby on Rails to Java 8/AWS.  They are looking for a Senior RoR Developer to maintain and support the Ruby development and help with the migration.  They will still need to work on Ruby for a good year and then will transition to Java. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 80% of time spent in hands on development. Designs, implements and maintains software for an entire domain. Delivers feature improvements including performance and scalability improvements. Ensure that their projects and their work meet ‘Definition of Done’ quality standards. Increase the level of teams’ technical ability and drives measurable improvement of quality of code. Improve accuracy of development schedules and lowers project risk. Education, Experience, & Skills Required:   3+ years in a Senior Engineer role developing Enterprise-level applications is required 7+ years of professional software development 4+ years developing application services using Ruby on Rails is required 2+ years creating APIs as products is required. An intimate knowledge of RESTful protocols is assumed 3+ years of working within AWS technologies to create cloud-based architecture is required Java experience is a plus, but not required Advanced degree (MSc) or equivalent industry experience Experience of event-driven architectures is desired Experience with End-to-End (E2) testing frameworks and unit testing frameworks such as JUnit,TestNG, Mockito. Demonstrates ability to understand how their design decisions affect the scalability performance and overall cost of the application they own.
