Profile:
-Administer the IP control appliances for DNS / DHCP services
-Troubleshooting the incidents & problems reported on the above
servers / appliances
-Provide the root cause analysis on the major incidents/problems
-To carry out the scheduled activities like Patch management, Log file
rotation
-Involve in security related activities like OS hardening, Password
management
-Configuration of services like DNS, DHCP
-DNS Zone migrations and DHCP Scope migrations
-Carry out user management activities
-Scheduling, configuring & verifying backup jobs
-Generating regular reports
-Contribute to internal knowledge management system
-Plan & execute improvement in related areas
-ITIL process awareness
-Experience of working in customer environment preferred.
Skills:
a.Good working knowledge and hands on experience on Diamond BT’s
IPControl appliance
b.Working knowledge on any of monitoring tools like Mercury, HP
Sitescope.
c.Should have knowledge on the applications like IP adm. tools.
d.Knowledge on Active Directory would be desirable
e.Exposure on Cluster environment would be an added advantage
f.Should be familiar with hardware appliances.
g.RHEL certification preferred.
h.Good Communication skills
i.Good networking concepts. Good with IP addressing, subnets, routing
and switching.
Certifications: ( classify here essential and desirable ) This will
help in understanding which skill will contribute how much , for the
profile to deliver.
RHEL certification preferred.
Client Environment:
INS Appliances, Dell server hardware, IBM servers, Active Directory
2003, Exchange 2003, Windows 2000 / 2003 member servers, Citrix
MetaFrame XP, Veritas NetBackup , McAfee VirusScan Enterprise with
ePO management server, blackberry, LCS, Verisign firewall, Cisco
networking devices.
Remote access via VPN.
Technical Skills Required
(only for technical hires)

Key skills required: (in the order of priority)
1) Working knowledge on Linux servers.
2) Windows 2000/2003 Servers administration in Active Directory
environment.
3) Working knowledge on DNS, DHCP, MySQL databases, etc.
