1. Position Title: Site Engineer/ ARE
Position Grade: P3 – Degree + 10 years
Reporting to: Senior Resident Engineer/ Resident engineer
Role Summary : To assist in the co-ordination and delivery for the General Engineering Consultancy Services for Contract 2, Area 3, Kharatiyat Ground Water Lowering Project. To work so that the project meets time, quality and budgetary targets, whilst meeting or exceeding Clients’ expectations. Acting in the authority delegated by the Engineer to administer the construction contracts.
Responsibilities : • Manage the Work inspector’s daily tasks. • Ensure Contractor is working to latest approved shop drawings • Maintain records of progress • Liaison with the ARE / Materials Engineer; • To receive, assess and answer inspection requests; • To ensure that the works are being constructed in accordance with the specification; • To keep accurate records of the works; • To prepare progress reports; • To aid the Health and Safety adviser
Relationships : The Site Engineer is expected to work collaboratively, through the SRE, in resolving any and all site issues.
2. Position Title: Senior Works Inspector
Position Grade: T1 –Degree/ Diploma +5/ + 10 to 15 yrs
Reporting to: Senior Resident Engineer
Role Summary : Fulfilling a senior role within the construction team with responsibility for controlling quality of Site inspection team. Providing leadership and mentoring to the members of the Site team in the development and provision of their service on the delivery for the General Engineering Consultancy Services for Contract 2, Area 3, Kharatiyat Ground Water Lowering Project. Acting in the authority delegated by the Senior Resident Engineer to administer the construction contracts.
Responsibilities (Focus on Core Responsibilities only)
The main duties of the Senior Works Inspector include, but are not limited to: • Oversee the quality standards of the supervision team • Carry out training of the supervisory team • Review of the Contractor’s installation performance, and advising on improvements • Working to standardise Quality practices • Prepare reports on performance
Relationships : The Senior Works Inspector is expected to work collaboratively with the site team in resolving any and all site safety issues.
3. Position Title: Works Inspector
Position Grade: T3- Degree/ Diploma + 2/ +5 years
Reporting to: Senior Resident Engineer/ Resident Engineer
Role Summary : To oversee the quality of work performed by contractors on the delivery for the General Engineering Consultancy Services for Contract 2, Area 3, Kharatiyat Ground Water Lowering Project. To work so that the project meets time, quality targets, whilst meeting or exceeding Clients’ expectations. Acting in the authority delegated by the Senior Resident Engineer to administer the construction contracts.
Responsibilities : The main duties of the Inspector include, but are not limited to: • Assessment of quantities; • Liaison with project QS; • To complete timesheets on time, weekly. • Record progress of the works, keeping a log to assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor • Liaison with the ARE / Materials Engineer; • To receive, assess and answer inspection requests; • To ensure that the works are being constructed in accordance with the specification; • To keep accurate records of the works; • To prepare progress reports; • To aid the Health and Safety adviser
Relationships : The Works Inspector is expected to work collaboratively with the site team in resolving any and all site issues.
