Job Title: SAP BW HANA Consultant

Location: Greensboro, NC (Onsite)

Implementation: Infosys

The Senior SAP BW on HANA & SAP BusinessObjects Consultant is responsible for
the design, development, and optimization of enterprise reporting and analytics
solutions. This role serves as a technical and functional expert across SAP BW on
HANA, data modeling, and SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), partnering with business
stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance analytical insights.
The position requires strong hands on expertise, solution ownership, and the ability to
lead analytics initiatives across complex SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
BW on HANA Architecture & Development
 Design, develop, and optimize SAP BW on HANA data models, including
InfoProviders, ADSOs, CompositeProviders, and Open ODS Views
 Drive HANA pushdown strategies to improve performance and simplify data
flows
 Perform BW performance tuning, data load optimization, and system monitoring
 Support BW upgrades, migrations, and harmonization initiatives
SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) Reporting
 Design, develop, and support reports using Web Intelligence (WebI)
 Build and maintain Universes (IDT / UNX) optimized for BW on HANA
 Support and enhance legacy reports (including Crystal Reports where applicable)
 Ensure consistent semantic layers and reporting standards
Data Integration & Modeling
 Develop and optimize ETL and data acquisition processes from SAP and
nonSAP sources
 Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and consistency across reporting layers
 Implement and enforce BW modeling and naming standards
Business Collaboration
 Partner with business users to gather reporting and analytics requirements
 Translate business needs into scalable BW and BOBJ solutions
 Support UAT, production deployments, and incident resolution

Security, Governance & Support
 Implement BW and BOBJ authorization and security concepts
 Ensure compliance with data governance and audit requirements
 Provide production support, rootcause analysis, and continuous improvement
Leadership & Mentorship
 Act as a technical SME and escalation point for BW and BOBJ issues
 Mentor junior developers and review solution designs
 Contribute to best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Technical Skills
 Strong handson experience with SAP BW on HANA
 Expertise in ADSO, CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views, and BW modeling
 Extensive experience with SAP BusinessObjects (WebI, Universes)
 Solid understanding of SAP HANA architecture and performance tuning
 Experience with BW data extraction from SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
Functional & Business Knowledge
 Ability to work closely with business stakeholders
 Understanding of enterprise reporting, KPIs, and analytics concepts
 Experience supporting Finance (FI/CO) or Supply Chain reporting is a strong
asset
