Job Description
1. Core SAP Expertise § Strong understanding of S/4HANA system architecture and simplification items.

§ Experience evaluating migration paths (Brownfield/System Conversion,

Selective Data Transition, Greenfield).

§ Ability to interpret and leverage SAP Readiness Check, Simplification Item Catalogue, and Business Process Discovery tools. § Experience assessing custom code remediation needs and potential impacts on business processes. § Deep functional knowledge of ECC modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, HCM, FM/GM). § Understanding of how ECC processes transition to S/4HANA equivalents (Universal Journal, Business Partner Model, new Asset Accounting, MRP Live, etc.). 2. Technical Skills § Ability to analyze ECC system usage, custom development inventory, interfaces, and enhancements. § Knowledge of integration technologies (SAP PI/PO, SAP BTP Integration Suite, APIs). § Experience with data profiling and preliminary data migration considerations. § Familiarity with sizing, performance implications, and high-level technical architecture changes in S/4HANA. 3. Functional & Process Assessment Skills § Ability to conduct current-state process mapping and identify gaps vs. S/4HANA best practices. § Experience facilitating workshops with business users to gather process insights and pain points. § Capability to identify process improvement opportunities enabled by S/4HANA functionality. § Familiarity with public sector processes (if relevant): funds management, procurement, HR/payroll, grants, etc. 4. Analysis & Advisory Skills § Strong ability to synthesize system data, process information, and technical findings into actionable insights. § Comfortable performing impact assessments across functional areas and technology components. § Ability to support the definition of future-state options, including migration approach, level of process redesign, and transformation enablers. § Capable of developing clear summaries, findings, and recommendations for stakeholders. 5. Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement Skills § Strong communication skills for engaging state stakeholders and cross-functional teams. § Ability to work collaboratively with McKinsey consultants and adapt to structured problem-solving approaches. § Skilled documentation abilities: process flows, capability assessments, system impact summaries, data/integration inventories. § Comfort working in early-stage transformation contexts with evolving requirements. 6. Optional / Nice-to-Have Skills § Experience participating in public-sector SAP transformation programs. § Previous involvement in large ECC-to-S/4HANA assessments or roadmap projects.

§ Exposure to business case development or TCO considerations (without requiring RFP involvement). Experience with change management or organizational readiness assessments
