Position: Cloud Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Raritan NJ - Onsite

Duration: 12+ Months

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Infrastructure Engineer responsible for setting up, managing, and maintaining infrastructure on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP).

This role also includes installing and configuring third-party tools on cloud resources, working on CI/CD pipeline automation, and providing ongoing support for application setup with vendors.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning, automation, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and vendors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.   Cloud Infrastructure Setup & Management:
o    Provision and configure infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
o    Install and set up third-party tools on cloud resources, ensuring optimal configuration and security.
o    Manage SSL certificates, IP mapping, and network configuration across multiple cloud platforms.
2.   CI/CD Pipeline Implementation:
o    Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, integrating version control, testing, and deployment processes.
o    Work with source code repositories (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) and collaborate with development teams on automation requirements.
o    Troubleshoot and maintain pipelines, ensuring efficient and error-free deployments.
3.   Scripting & Automation:
o    Create and maintain scripts (Python, Shell, .NET) to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring tasks.
o    Implement best practices for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
4.   Network and Security Configuration:
o    Set up network configurations (VPCs, subnets, security groups) and manage SSL certificates.
o    Implement IP mapping, DNS configuration, and security controls to protect cloud resources.
5.   Vendor Support & Collaboration:
o    Coordinate with vendors to facilitate smooth application installation and configuration on cloud environments.
o    Troubleshoot issues related to vendor applications and resolve configuration challenges.
o    Provide technical support and maintain communication with vendors to ensure successful integrations.
6.   Documentation & Communication:
o    Document setup procedures, configurations, and issue resolutions.
o    Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors to provide updates and resolve concerns.

 

KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
•    Proficiency in AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms.
•    Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.
•    Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, and familiarity with .NET.
•    Experience with SSL certificates, IP mapping, and network configurations.
•    Ability to troubleshoot and support third-party application installations.
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective vendor support.
•    Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

 

PREFERRED:
•    Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
•    Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
•    Background in supporting vendor integrations and cloud application setups.
