Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Network Architect to design and lead enterprise network strategies across data center, campus, WAN, and cloud environments. This role is responsible for defining scalable, secure, and high-performance network architectures aligned with business objectives, while driving transformation initiatives such as cloud adoption, SD-WAN, and zero-trust security models.
Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Strategy
- Define and own the enterprise network architecture roadmap.
- Design scalable and resilient architectures for LAN, WAN, Data Center, and Cloud networking.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust) and recommend adoption strategies.
Solution Design & Engineering
- Architect end-to-end solutions covering:
- Routing, switching, and segmentation
- Network security and secure access
- Load balancing and application delivery
- Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
Cloud & Hybrid Networking
- Design connectivity between on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Implement solutions such as VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VNet/VPC peering.
- Architect multi-cloud and hybrid network topologies.
Data Center & WAN Architecture
- Design modern data center networks (leaf-spine architectures, EVPN/VXLAN).
- Architect WAN connectivity and optimization solutions (MPLS, SD-WAN).
- Ensure high availability and redundancy across sites.
Network Security Architecture
- Design and implement secure network frameworks:
- Firewalls, IDS/IPS, micro-segmentation
- Zero Trust and SASE frameworks
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Performance, Scalability & Optimization
- Define performance benchmarks and capacity planning strategies.
- Conduct architecture reviews and optimize network performance.
- Resolve complex, cross-domain issues.
Automation & DevOps Integration
- Define network automation strategies using Python, Ansible, Terraform.
- Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD integration for network changes.
- Enable self-service provisioning and standardized configurations.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
- Act as a technical advisor to business and IT leadership.
- Lead design reviews, architecture governance, and decision-making forums.
- Mentor network engineers and guide implementation teams.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- Deep experience in:
- Enterprise networking (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.)
- Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
- Advanced switching and network segmentation
- Expertise in:
- Data center networking (VXLAN, EVPN, Spine-Leaf architectures)
- Network security (Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Load balancing (F5, Citrix ADC)
Cloud & Modern Networking
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking architectures (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Experience with:
- SD-WAN and SASE solutions
- Hybrid cloud connectivity and multi-region design
Automation & Tools
- Scripting/automation: Python, Ansible, Terraform
- Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow, Wireshark
- Exposure to network controllers (Cisco ACI, NSX – optional)
Experience
- 10–15+ years in networking, with 5+ years in architecture/design roles
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise networks
- Experience with multi-site or global infrastructure environments
Certifications (Preferred)
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – highly preferred
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Cloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect / AWS Architect)
- Security certifications (CISSP, PCNSE – optional)
