Job Title: Onsite Technical Lead (API / Apigee / Cloud / Kafka)

Location: Benton Harbor, MI 49022 (100% Onsite)
Duration: 18 Months
Experience: 6–8 Years
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST

 

Role Overview

The Onsite Technical Lead will serve as the primary technical lead for the client's Integration DevOps program. The role involves leading API and integration development, providing technical guidance, coordinating with offshore teams, and ensuring successful delivery of modernization projects while following Agile and DevOps best practices.

 

Must Have Skills (Highest Priority)

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in API Development using Apigee X (APIM).
• Strong experience with Cloud Armor (WAF & API Security).
• Strong experience in Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience in AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with:
• AWS Lambda (AWS)
• Cloud Run
• Cloud Functions (GCP)
• Working experience with Confluent Kafka (Enterprise Streaming Platform).
• Must have led at least two Integration Development & Modernization projects as a Technical Lead.
• Experience leading Onsite-Offshore distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Lead hands-on API and integration development.
• Design and develop Microservices and Event-driven architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and solution design aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Perform code reviews and performance tuning.
• Ensure API governance, lifecycle management, and security compliance.
• Work closely with business stakeholders for backlog prioritization and sprint planning.
• Lead Agile Scrum ceremonies and DevOps implementation.
• Mentor offshore development teams.
• Handle production support, incident resolution, monitoring, and platform optimization.
