Role: Business Analyst - Payment

Location:   Charlotte NC   || onsite

Position Type: Long Term Contract

Job Description:


 Descriptions:
"•      Collaborate closely with Product Management, Operations, and Technology teams to understand business objectives and operational needs.
•       Elicit, analyze, document, and refine business and functional requirements.
•       Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
•       Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder meetings, and solution discussions.
•       Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
•       Partner with Product Owners and Operations teams to prioritize requirements and manage scope.
•       Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
•       Support solution design discussions and ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
•       Assist testing teams in preparing test scenarios, validating functionality, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
•       Identify business risks, dependencies, and impacts associated with proposed changes.
•       Support implementation activities, production validation, and post-deployment issue resolution."

"•      8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
•       Strong experience within the Banking, Financial Services, or Payments domain.
•       Proven experience working on Payments initiatives, preferably Wire Payments.
•       Excellent requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation skills.
•       Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies.
•       Experience creating:
•       Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
•       Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
•       User Stories
•       Process Flows
•       Acceptance Criteria
•       Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
•       Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior business stakeholders.
•       
•       Preferred Qualifications
•       Hands-on experience with Fedwire and/or The Clearing House (TCH) payment systems.
•       Understanding of payment message formats and payment processing workflows.
•       Experience working with payment operations, treasury services, or transaction banking platforms.
•       Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and data mapping exercises.
•       Prior Product Owner or Product Analyst experience.
•       Experience using Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
