Role: Lead Sr. Scrum Master
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months might extend
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Scrum Master and Agile Coach with 15+ years of progressive experience driving enterprise Agile transformations, coaching high-performing teams, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across organizations. This is not just a facilitation role — it is a strategic leadership position where you will influence how entire business units think, plan, and deliver.
You will partner with C-suite stakeholders, product leaders, and engineering teams to design and implement sustainable Agile practices that scale. Your deep expertise in Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, and organizational coaching will be the cornerstone of our transformation journey.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Agile Coaching & Transformation
• Design and lead enterprise-wide Agile transformation programs, from strategy to execution.
• Coach teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and senior leaders on Agile mindset, values, and practices.
• Conduct Agile maturity assessments and develop tailored improvement roadmaps for squads, tribes, and portfolios.
• Build internal Agile coaching capability through mentoring, communities of practice, and training programs.
• Guide organizations through scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Spotify Model, Disciplined Agile) selecting the right fit.
Scrum Mastery & Team Facilitation
• Serve as Scrum Master for strategic, high-complexity programs involving multiple interdependent teams.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies with energy and purpose: planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and PI Planning.
• Identify, track, and resolve impediments at team, program, and organizational levels with urgency.
• Shield teams from external distractions while fostering a culture of accountability and self-organization.
• Champion psychological safety, enabling open communication and healthy team dynamics.
Organizational & Leadership Coaching
• Act as a trusted advisor to VPs, Directors, and C-level executives on Agile ways of working.
• Facilitate leadership workshops, team health checks, and systemic retrospectives at the organizational level.
• Lead change management efforts associated with Agile adoption — addressing resistance, shifting mindsets.
• Collaborate with HR and L&D to embed Agile principles into hiring, onboarding, and performance frameworks.
• Define and govern Agile coaching engagement models, including team onboarding, coaching cycles, and exit criteria.
Metrics, Governance & Continuous Improvement
• Define, implement, and report on Agile health metrics: flow efficiency, DORA metrics, NPS, team satisfaction scores.
• Establish and maintain Agile governance structures aligned to PMO standards and enterprise delivery frameworks.
• Facilitate Lean-Agile portfolio management practices including OKR alignment, capacity planning, and WIP management.
• Lead post-increment inspections and organizational retrospectives to surface systemic improvement opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
• 15+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Program Manager in enterprise environments.
• Minimum 7+ years specifically in an Agile Coaching capacity — coaching at team, program, and portfolio levels.
• Proven experience leading or supporting enterprise Agile transformations
• Hands-on experience with multiple scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, Spotify, or DA) in real-world contexts.
• Background in both technology and business domains; experience in financial services, healthcare, or retail is a plus.
