Job Description
Seeking a highly skilled Senior UKG ProWFM Integration Engineer for
a high-impact, long-term engagement with a premier client in the Washington, D.C. area.
In this critical technical role, you will serve as the primary architect and
support lead for the complex data ecosystem connecting UKG Pro Workforce
Management (ProWFM) with SAP HR, Payroll, and Finance modules. You will be
responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of integrations—from initial design
and Dell Boomi development to rigorous SAP finance posting validation—ensuring
that time, attendance, and pay rules flow seamlessly across enterprise systems
for a large, unionized workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Development: Design, build, and maintain sophisticated
interfaces using Dell
Boomi (AtomSphere) and Workforce Integration Manager (WIM) to
sync data between UKG ProWFM and downstream payroll/finance systems.
- System Configuration: Expertly configure UKG ProWFM building blocks,
including Pay Rules, Work Rules, Accruals, Absence Management, and complex
scheduling requirements.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead the technical integration between ProWFM
and SAP (HR,
Payroll, and Finance), specifically managing the critical
"payroll-to-finance" posting processes.
- Testing & Validation: Own end-to-end testing cycles, including
regression testing and data reconciliation, to ensure financial accuracy
and compliance with enterprise controls.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive root cause analysis using SQL for data
validation and resolve defects tracked in JIRA.
- Stakeholder Communication: Bridge the gap between technical and
non-technical teams by documenting data flows, interface control documents
(ICDs), and operational runbooks.
Qualifications &
Experience
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on technical
experience with UKG ProWFM (formerly Workforce Central) and Dell Boomi.
- Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in WIM, SQL, and various
integration protocols including APIs (REST), SFTP, and file-based
exchanges (CSV, XML).
- ERP Knowledge: Demonstrated
experience integrating UKG with SAP environments, with a specific
focus on financial posting and payroll synchronization.
- Complex Environments: Background supporting large-scale, highly
regulated enterprises, ideally with experience managing unionized
workgroups or operations-focused labor (e.g., Yardmasters).
- Education: Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering,
or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional
analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
independently while maintaining strict adherence to change management
protocols.
