Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer

Location: Fort Mill, SC (Fully Onsite)

Visa: H1B & USC/GC (GC or GC EAD not accepted on C2C & No OPT and H4)

15 + year profile, H1B works too

 Financial domain experience in any of the last three projects

 Strong Terraform and strong hands on AWS experience .. need to be directly involved in designing, deploying, or managing AWS cloud services.

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. The role involves working closely with DevOps, application, and data teams to support cloud adoption, automation, and optimisation initiatives for LPL programs.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.)

· Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation for automated provisioning

· Manage CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices for application deployment

· Monitor cloud environments using tools like CloudWatch and implement logging/alerting mechanisms

· Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of AWS workloads

· Perform cost optimisation and capacity planning for cloud resources

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cloud migration, architecture design, and troubleshooting

· Support production issues and ensure system stability

Must-Have Skills

· Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)

· Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)

· Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

· Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

· Understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles

· Experience in monitoring and logging frameworks

Good-to-Have Skills

· Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes / EKS)

· Knowledge of AWS cost optimisation strategies and well-architected framework

· Exposure to APM/observability tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic)

· Experience working in BFS/LPL domain

· AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect / DevOps) preferred
