Position: ServiceNow Enterprise Architect

Location : Remote Role

Type: 6+ Months Contract role

 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead ServiceNow Enterprise Architect with 15–20 years of overall IT experience to lead a strategic ServiceNow Consolidation and Transformation Program. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary onsite architecture lead, partnering closely with client stakeholders, enterprise architects, business leaders, and offshore delivery teams to define the target-state architecture, drive platform standardization, and ensure successful program execution.

This role requires a combination of deep ServiceNow expertise, enterprise architecture experience, strong consulting skills, and the ability to lead complex transformation initiatives in large-scale enterprise environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and own the target-state ServiceNow architecture aligned with business and technology objectives.
  • Lead architecture assessments of existing ServiceNow environments, integrations, customizations, and technical debt.
  • Develop platform consolidation, migration, and modernization strategies.
  • Act as the Design Authority for all ServiceNow architectural decisions across the program.
  • Establish architecture standards, governance processes, and best practices to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Drive solution design reviews and architecture governance forums.
  • ServiceNow Consolidation & Transformation
  • Lead enterprise-scale ServiceNow consolidation initiatives involving multiple instances, business units, and geographies.
  • Define and execute strategies for instance consolidation, process harmonization, CMDB rationalization, data migration, and platform standardization.
  • Identify and manage architecture risks, dependencies, and technical challenges throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Ensure seamless migration and transition with minimal business disruption.

 

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary architecture point of contact for client leadership, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate architecture workshops, design sessions, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Present architectural recommendations, roadmaps, risks, and key decisions to senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customer leadership teams.
  • Delivery Governance & Team Leadership
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to offshore architects, developers, integration teams, and quality assurance teams.
  • Review solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation approaches to ensure alignment with approved architecture.
  • Establish development standards, design principles, and quality controls.
  • Mentor technical teams and promote knowledge sharing across the program.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, and delivery leads to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Platform Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Drive adoption of ServiceNow out-of-the-box capabilities and industry-leading practices.
  • Ensure platform scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and operational excellence.
  • Support long-term platform roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote simplification and reduction of unnecessary customizations wherever feasible.

 

Experience

  • 15–20 years of overall IT industry experience.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of ServiceNow architecture and solution design experience.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale ServiceNow consolidation, migration, transformation, or platform modernization programs.
  • Experience working in complex global enterprise environments with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong experience in customer-facing consulting and advisory roles.

  • ServiceNow Enterprise Architecture and Platform Design.

 

Deep understanding of:

  • IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • IT Operations Management (ITOM)
  • CMDB & Discovery
  • Service Catalog
  • Knowledge Management
  • HR Service Delivery (HRSD) – preferred
  • Additional ServiceNow modules such as CSM and SPM – desirable
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform governance, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, and third-party enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Preferred.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certifications.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide digital transformation and platform modernization initiatives.

 

Domain Experience (Nice to Have)

Experience working with organizations in:

  • Investment Management
  • Asset Management
  • Private Equity
  • Financial Services
  • Insurance
  • Understanding of governance, risk, compliance, and operational processes within regulated industries.
  • Experience delivering ServiceNow solutions within complex financial services environments.
