Job title: Kafka Senior Developer

Location: Benton Harbor, MI 49022 (Open for Remote)

Duration: 6 months

 

Integration Developer (Kafka / Java / Spring Boot / Microservice) - POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting microservices, event-driven integrations, and cloud-native integration solutions across customer’s enterprise integration ecosystem leveraging Confluent Kafka, Spring Boot Microservice, GCP, Apigee (good to have).

 

SKILLS: Kafka | Microservices

Experience: 8+ years in Confluent Kafka & Java Spring Boot Microservice, integration development with Agile/DevOps experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop event-driven integrations using Kafka.

Administer, config and support Kafka service on Confluent Cloud Create and manage Kafka topics / partitions

Experience with Kafka connect framework Design and develop enterprise API backends with Spring Boot Java microservices and Kafka based event integration solutions.

Support migration and modernization of legacy integrations.

Participating in Agile ceremonies, testing, deployment and production support.

Collaborate with architects, SAP teams, cloud teams and DevOps engineers.

 

Required Skills:

Confluent Kafka administration

Kafka Connect framework, SAP connector

Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Python (preferred) Event-Driven Architecture Apigee, REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger (good to have) GCP, Kubernetes/GKE BitBucket Git, CI/CD Unit testing, Integration testing and support UAT
