Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks (data-driven, hybrid, or BDD).
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Analyze business requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to clarify requirements and ensure testability.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Conduct API testing (manual and automated).
• Perform defect tracking, root cause analysis, and impact assessment.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide test coverage analysis and quality metrics reporting.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver and automation tools.
• Proficiency in Java (preferred) or C# / Python for automation scripting.
• Extensive experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of functional testing principles.
• Experience with:
• Test frameworks: TestNG / JUnit / NUnit
• Build tools: Maven / Gradle
• Version control: Git
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Strong SQL knowledge for backend validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Solid understanding of:
• Test planning and strategy
• Test case design techniques (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning)
• Regression strategy and risk-based testing
• Ability to independently own testing for features/modules.
• Strong defect lifecycle management experience.
• Ability to think from an end-user perspective.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Experience with Selenium Grid and parallel execution.
• Experience testing cloud-based applications (Azure / AWS).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and shift-left testing approaches.
• Experience testing microservices-based architectures.
• Basic knowledge of security testing principles.
