Job Description

Skillset Needed: AWS Guard Duty, WAF, AWS Shield

 

Additional Comments:

1. AWS WAF & Bot Protection

• Extend coverage to net-new cloud applications.
• Review and optimize existing WAF/Bot policies.
• Execute a phased deployment lifecycle (testing policies in dev/QA environments before moving to production in monitor-only mode).
• Review monitor-only policies to tune rules and minimize false positives.
• Execute production deployments via approved Change Requests (CRs) during designated change windows—complete with rollback strategies and connectivity validation (progressing from monitor to block mode).

2. AWS GuardDuty

• Provide end-to-end implementation, policy review, phased rollout, and tuning (following a lifecycle similar to the WAF approach above).

3. AWS Shield / DDoS Protection

• Configure, manage, and continuously tune protection policies following the same structured deployment lifecycle.
