Role: Linux system administration
Location: Plano, TX/Hybrid
Duration: Contract-C2C/W2
Job Description:
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE).
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
Handle incident, problem, and change management activities.
Ensure system availability, reliability, and security.
Apply patches and upgrades to operating systems and system components.
Troubleshoot system, network, filesystem, and application issues.
Manage user access, file systems, permissions, and security policies.
Work closely with application, database, network, and cloud teams.
Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting and Python.
Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
Required Skills:
Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE) System monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning Incident, problem, and change management OS patching and upgrade management Troubleshooting (system, network, filesystem, application) User access management and security policies Shell scripting and Python automation Cross-team collaboration (application, database, network, cloud teams) Documentation, SOPs, and runbook management
