Role: Business Analyst/ Finance Analyst (Disputes)
Location: Charlotte, NC-Onsite
Duration: Contract-C2C/W2
Domain: Core Banking and financial Domain Only
Job Description:-
We are looking for an experienced Functional Consultant with strong expertise in payments disputes and chargebacks across banking and financial products.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in payments disputes & chargebacks across products such as ATM, debit/credit cards, ACH, and P2P (Zelle)
- Strong understanding of network rules and regulations including Visa, Mastercard, NACHA, Reg E, and Reg Z
- Expertise
in the end-to-end dispute lifecycle including:
- Intake
- Investigation
- Provisional credit
- Representment
- Arbitration
- Recovery
- Hands-on
operational experience handling fraud and non-fraud disputes, including:
- Unauthorized transactions
- ATM cash claims
- Merchant disputes
- ACH returns
- Experience
handling Zelle disputes, including:
- Scam vs unauthorized transaction classification
- Liability assessment
- Bank-to-bank coordination
- Ability to analyze dispute trends, identify root causes and leakage points, and provide actionable insights for fraud prevention and operational improvements
- Experience working with card networks, sponsor banks, and third-party processors
- Familiarity with tools/platforms such as TSYS, FIS, or Fiserv preferred
- Strong understanding of regulatory timelines and customer communication standards for dispute resolution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Banking or financial services domain experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments
