General Scope:

The Senior Drupal Developer will work in conjunction with assigned agency to create a high-quality, dynamic and responsive website and Intranet that educates the public and employees about agency information, and connect them with digital services.

This individual will also ensure that the site meets state and federal accessibility regulations.

The Senior Drupal Developer position requires a combination of programming skills: PHP, JQuery, Javascript, etc.

The best candidates must have a strong understanding of industry trends and the Drupal 7 content management system. In addition, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment, with back-end/module development.

This position will work closely with the UI/UX designer to ensure the site meets the functionality and aesthetic specifications and standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements:

Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment.

Ability to architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data and display.

Experience creating custom Drupal 7 modules

Experience modifying and creating PHP template files in Drupal.

Experience building responsive websites using Drupal 7 CMS and JavaScript/jQuery.

Expertise of PHP and its functions. (arrays, hooks etc.)

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Be self-motivated, work independently or as part of a team

Be able to learn quickly, meet deadlines and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.

Experience using Git workflow, version control

Knowledgeable with W3C Web standards, WAI, ADA & Sections 508 and 504 compliances

2+ years (minimum) custom web development experience with demonstrated ability to write, test/debug and deploy code.

At least 2+ years Drupal development experience, with experience in Drupal 7

Basic dev-ops/Linux skills/Command Line (Drush)

Must be able to write clear and concise code.

A portfolio demonstrating solid coding/design principles.

Preferences (Preferred experience, but not required):

Experience in Acquia Cloud Site Factory highly preferred

Experience with SourceTree and Bitbucket highly preferred

Experience working on high traffic, enterprise-class websites

Experience with views, contextual views/filters, panels, panelizer, features and feeds

Knowledgeable in Apache and MySQL databases

Web form development and validation including PII

General Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the interpretation of business requirements to technical design, and execution to support the business needs of the organization. 

This includes review and analysis of user functions and activities, monitoring and correction of current design, along with new design, and delivery of design documentation and end product. 

This position works with users, management, and others to identify and define long- and short-range business website requirements, architecture, designs, and solutions.

Analyze and interpret business requirements to technical design and execution

Provide training and support to the user community as necessary to accomplish daily activities.

Identify problems and develop appropriate design and solutions to maintain business continuity.
