I tried disabling Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), Windows Defender Application Guard, and Hyper-V, but even THAT didn't work. I always disable virtualization to run Bluestacks, but now I need to enable virtualization for the new Bluestacks N version. I really want it, but Bluestacks keep saying that Hyper-V is enabled on my system and I have to review the FAQ to disable it. I also set hypervisorlaunchtype to off using bcdedit.

Did you enable the Memory Integrity option in the Core Isolation menu on Windows Defender? This option is available on Windows 1709 and later. Try disabling it. Here's the pic:

Bluestacks is an emulator. Bluestacks probably is not able to store data from the app to the PC. Bluestacks has no internal storage in itself as far as I can determine so there is no place you can send a file using the File control.

Hello, good day to anyone reading this.
I have made an app that reads information from a file thats being written by a Python code.
The python code extracts information from Google Calendar and then writes certain things to a regular txt file.
Now to run the Mit App i need an emulator for it to run on my laptop, but here comes the problem.
I can edit wthe file with Python no problem there BUT i do not know how I can make the app read that specific path to the file. I know where its located, i have found the sdCard folder but whenever i go into bluestacks i cannot find it when i check the internal memory. All i need is for the app to read an external file, thats located in bluestacks named 'test_text.txt' there is a shared folder with windows and in there i can see and edit the file in question. I just need the path to that file for the appmaker.
This is what it all looks like in the blocks

This is the bluestacks file location

Iv looked everywhere on the forum and internet, cant find anything.
All i want is for the MIT app to read from the sharedfolder file in bluestacks from windows.
I use the regular file block to READ from an external file of the app itself.
There is a shared folder within bluestacks, in that folder is a txt file that i want to READ in the app.
How do you find that path to put into the app?
Everything i tried says that said directory doesnt exist

The app does what it needs to do, i just need to be able to read from a more specfic file, then /thisfile
but everytime i try a path that should lead to the shared folder it says that the file couldnt be created, i assume this is because the path is incorrect. When i do just /testfile it works just fine but i cannot find the path to the normal sd card interface for python

the last file you see n this list is the file that the app reads and edits.
I need that file path for python OR i need to be able to read from the shared folder in this menu

The txt file is the file i imported to bluestacks SD storage so i could test it. The file i NEED to use is located in the shared folder of windows and bluestacks and is accesible through both. The file is already there by default and is deleted when i press button 1 and immediately recreated because i need that file empty.

Today, I was searching the Bluestacks Reddit and found that several Android games were having the same issue. After some digging in the Bluestacks forum, turns out there is an easy fix for the white screen that prevents the app from loading.

Another user on Reddit tested the solution on the new version 5 of Bluestacks and it worked there as well. There is a difference in how to change the setting(s) as under the new version, the setting depends on which version ( 32 or 64 bit) you download.

Just upgraded the game to v62 and now it will not load in my Bluestack Instance. Using the default 32bit instance the game hangs on the Small Giant loading screen and in other Bluestacks instances such as Pie64 and Android 11 the loading screen is corrupt as is the screen when you first click on an offer. The game aslo just crashes but the the bluestack instance home screen.

EDIT: I tried many different combination of settings. Even recreated the Android 11 VM multiple times to play with the ABI settings (this one cannot be changed on the fly, need to create a new VM to change it) to have ARM32 only or ARM64 only but still no luck, keep crashing when opening the app. I got the following line in Bluestacks logs:

If you are playing on many devices and the game is asking to update to the last version (build 2085) and this build is not availble in google play, then download and install the apk from apkpure for instance.

I recently (just yesterday), updated my Macbook Pro (retina) to macOS Mojave and I noticed it would not let me use the Bluestacks app... This is highly irritating. Please help me. I need this desperately.

Good morning eliel_raphael!
Thanks for reaching out about the issue you're having with opening an app since updating to macOS Mojave. I'll be happy to shed some light on this.
Take a look here for some information about issues related to opening apps after updating:

Hey sir! So here's the thing. I found a "solution" to the problem but I do not have a solution to actually making Bluestacks work on Mojave. I believe soon enough Apple will make an update for Mojave to fix bugs like this. Even an app called OpenEmu (another emulator) doesn't work... So are you willing to use another android emulator? The one I use now (it lets me have more control and usability than Bluestacks - like letting me type on games and view stories on Instagram without crashing). I use the Nox App Player: in order for it to work you need to download the latest version of Virtual Box (Oracle VM VirtualBox). And also, I can send you the DMG for the Nox App Player because there are some versions that won't work. Email me if you want the DMG? @ nohope...@gmail.com

I had that issue but I have just installed the BlueStacks version 2.0.1 for Mac on my Mojave and it is working fine, during the installation it asks you about some permission that you need to give them, I think because of that permission the old version doesn't work.

BlueStacks (also known as BlueStacks by now.gg, Inc.) is an American technology company recognized for its creation of the BlueStacks App Player and other cloud-based cross-platform products. The BlueStacks App Player enables the execution of Android applications on computers running Microsoft Windows or macOS. The company's establishment traces back to 2009, founded by Jay Vaishnav, Suman Saraf, and Rosen Sharma.

The company's first introduction took place on May 2011, during the Citrix Synergy conference held in San Francisco. An early version of BlueStacks App Player was showcased on stage by Citrix CEO Mark Templeton, who also announced a partnership between the two companies.[7] The initial alpha version of App Player was launched in October 2011,[8] and it exited beta on June 7, 2014. In July 2014, Samsung disclosed its investment in BlueStacks.[9]

BlueStacks generates its primary revenue through an Android emulator referred to as App Player. The basic features of the software are available for free, while advanced features require a paid monthly subscription.[10] By February 2021, BlueStacks reported over 1 billion app downloads.[11] The App Player provides support for mouse, keyboard, and external touch-pad controls.

In April 2015, BlueStacks, Inc. unveiled that a new version of the App Player, named 2.0, was under development for macOS and was eventually released in July.[13] In December 2015, BlueStacks, Inc. introduced BlueStacks 2.0,[14] enabling users to run multiple Android applications simultaneously.[15] BlueStacks 2.0 was also compatible with Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks or later until 2018.

BlueStacks released BlueStacks 3 in July 2017, featuring a new engine and front-end design.[18] This version introduced App Center for personalized game suggestions, an account system, chat, a new keymapping interface, and multi-instance support. The multi-instance feature permits users to launch multiple BlueStacks windows using the same or different Google Play accounts.

In January 2018, BlueStacks announced the release of the BlueStacks + N Beta, running on Android 7 (Android Nougat). This was notable as most Android emulators were running Android 4.4 (KitKat) at that time.[19] This version was powered by an upgraded "HyperG" graphics engine that enabled the use of the full array of Android 7 APIs.

BlueStacks introduced a new version, BlueStacks 4, in September 2018. BlueStacks 4 demonstrated benchmark results up to 6 times faster than a 2018 generation mobile phone during testing.[20] Dynamic resource management, a new dock and search user interface, an AI-powered key-mapping tool, and support for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Android 7.1.2 Nougat were included in this version.
