How many of you people are paying for Spotify Premium because its app was designed to work as a usable source of music on tablet but not on phones? You just can't get the songs you want and are forced to listen hours worth of randomly chosen songs to get one you crave for. Well, waste time no more on songs you don't want to listen. I have a viable solution for your problems!
So, I installed "Spotify", ran "Resolution Changer", put my resolution to 4K (no way!?) - I haven't tested by how much it is needed to increase resolution but 4K worked for me perfectly - and then I start Spotify. After logging in (I weren't logged in before) Spotify now works just as it does on any tablet. But this thing is not usable with that high resolution, right? Damn right it isn't, I don't have magnifying glasses for my eyes. But after running Spotify with 4K resolution, I can switch back to default resolution, then reboot phone (to fix any glitches that one might see from changing UI scaling) and Spotify continues to run in tablet mode. I have been using it for months like this and it never reverted back to phone mode.
Note! I have tried it on Z1C and Samsung Galaxy A3 but people have told it is working with variety of devices so why shouldn't it work with yours? Post your results in comments along with phone model and android version.
Another note! It does not change Spotify app in any way - it will continue to function as it does on any tablet with unlimited skips and choosing your own songs to play! This will not activate any of features that are otherwise available strictly for Premium Subscription (Offline-listening, High Quality streaming etc).
Also running on the same version as ser_jace, although this problem has occurred for a while. I was just hoping another update would fix it, so didn't give it much attention. I think I've had this issue since around late April or May when I first got the tablet and downloaded the app. Clean Install didn't work nor did clearing the cache/storage.
As far as I can see now, the issue disappeared after my tablet received an Android update. This bug no longer appears, possibly because an OS optimized all apps on my tablet (I got a pop-up that showed a number of apps being optimized for a new version of One UI). I hope this bug is gone for good.
There's a lot that Spotify can improve in its app's experience, but the most glaring issue for anyone using a larger-screened Android device was the lack of any interface optimization. The phone UI simply stretched to fill the screen, with tiny touch targets and no special consideration given to the larger screen estate. That's changed now as Spotify began rolling out a new tablet-optimized design on Android.
The new look is a carbon copy of the one that showed up on iPad ten months ago. Complaints of lateness aside, it's a step in the right direction. While the UI on Android tablets and Chromebooks was nothing but an expanded one from phones, with tabs and a tiny now-playing bar on the bottom, the new one moves those to the left and pins them. You get larger album art, always-on rewind and skip buttons, and access to Spotify Connect to quickly switch output to nearby speakers or devices. You can see the before and after in the two screenshots below.
We're not sure if the interface is rolling out server-side or not. On my end, it showed up today on v8.5.72.287 on my Pixelbook and v8.5.72.625 on my tablet. Just make sure you're on the latest version of the app, or join the beta, and you'll probably have it soon.
Microsoft Intune and other MDM services enable kiosk configuration through the AssignedAccess configuration service provider (CSP). Assigned Access has a KioskModeApp setting. In the KioskModeApp setting, you enter the user account name and the AUMID for the app to run in kiosk mode.
Desktop mode is loading on desktop even though it is disabled in the settings. It is also blowing everything up HUGE - this is one inline list of cards and they take up the entire screen (have seen this happen before). URL: theseekr.com
Update: This app when installed new (as of today), installed on desktop and tablet and opens in full screen mode even though it is disabled. Please fix this asap - Have already been waiting 17 days for a fix. I need to launch my app and need to resolve this asap first. Thanks!
I just want to clarify (apparently my notes were not filtering through support). /full links will always present a full screen app experience. This is needed for certain devices. Tablet layout is referencing the two pane mode Glide can enter. Not all apps will want this. There is no way to completely disable /full links at the moment. I have added it as a feature request.
Yup I agree let me work with the design team and see what we figure out that will work for everyone. I suspect your request is the ideal solution for tablets. Im sorry I was testing on desktop and super confused.
Thanks for the script - got it all going but no sound out of any of the Chromecast devices. The spotify clientid/secret I am using are the one that I use to talk to my deloper account per the prerequisites for getting the Spotify Integration working. Spotify working flawlessly. Got your script all customised to my devices. Any ideas apprecaited
3. Click the Audio tab
4. Under the Audio Profile section, select Original sound for musicians.
5. Select the audio options you wish to use:
- High-fidelity music mode: This disables echo cancellation & post-processing, while raising audio codec quality to 48Khz, 96Kbps mono/192kbps stereo. A professional audio interface, microphone, and headphones are required.
- Echo cancellation: Prevents the creation of echoes between the mic and speakers. Disable is only recommended when using headphones to isolate audio or when playing instruments.
- Stereo audio: Encodes mic audio in stereo. Requires a stereo-capable microphone or audio interface.
Then, please ensure as well that you turn it on during the actual meeting:
1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
2. Start or join a meeting.
3. Connect to meeting audio with the Computer Audio option.
4. In the top-left corner of the meeting window, the current status of the Original Sound for Musicians feature is indicated.
5. Click the Original Sound for Musicians button to toggle to ON.
If you've also found that your liked Spotify songs are not syncing, the good news is that there are a few ways to go about fixing this. The best solution is to force a re-sync across your Spotify devices. First, make sure the Spotify app is closed on all your devices (your computer, tablet, phone, etc.). Once that's done, open the Spotify app on your phone, like a song, wait a few seconds, and then set Spotify to Offline Mode (tap the settings icon in the top right corner, tap 'Playback,' and tap 'Offline'). After enabling Offline Mode, close the Spotify app on your phone, re-open it, disable Offline Mode, and launch Spotify on your computer, tablet, or whatever device the liked songs weren't syncing to. If everything works, liked songs should now sync like normal.
To check the Spotify account on a phone or tablet, tap 'Home' at the bottom and then hit Settings (gear icon) in the top right corner. Tap 'Account' and cross-check the details. If the account details are the same on both devices, it might be worth logging out of Spotify everywhere, deleting the apps, and then reinstalling them and signing in again. In most cases, this should force the apps to reset, and the liked songs should reappear again. If liked Spotify songs still aren't syncing, it could be a problem on Spotify's end that you can't fix yourself. You should still try troubleshooting things yourself, but if all else fails, you may need to sit back and wait for Spotify to do something about it.
Desktop and Android app have started telling me "spotify returned no results for _____ in artists. Please try a different category or a new search term" this morning. Has replicated on multiple devices. Only happens for Spotify and only in "artists", albums and playlist search still works. Any idea if I changed a setting or if something is wrong on their end?
Yes. However, you must be a Spotify Premium subscriber and have all of the songs you want to listen to offline downloaded to your device. After checking both of these boxes, you can turn on offline mode in the Spotify mobile or desktop app.
Spotify Free users can download podcasts. However, offline mode is a feature solely available to Spotify Premium users, so Spotify Free users cannot listen to their downloaded content in offline mode.
To listen to music offline on Spotify, you must turn on offline mode. After downloading your Spotify music, go to Settings. Under Playback, press Offline mode to turn on offline mode.
To listen to music offline on the Spotify desktop app, open the menu in the upper-left corner by clicking the ᐧᐧᐧ button. Move your cursor over File and click Offline Mode to turn on offline mode.
However, the source of this difficulty might be related to battery issues - some iOS and Android users have observed their devices and made a checklist to follow. Do you want to fix this bug? Read further. If you have enabled battery saver mode, then it might be the reason why Spotify keeps pausing on your Android or iOS device.
The popup widget function should allow for either widgets or certain apps (social media, messaging, music players like spotify, calendars and files) these apps in particular are all about quick reference choose a file, song or check a calendar appointment, maybe even a quick reply for the messenger.
