Hello, first off, i would like to say that Reconstructor seems to be a
very powerful tool, and i say "seems" because i've downloaded the
package, but i haven't been able to run it...every time i try, it
shows a message telling me that some dependencies are not installed,
and it promts me to install them, when i click 'Yes' to confirm that i
want to install those dependencies, it shows the followin messages:

john@john-desktop:~/Desktop/Reconstructor/App/usr/share/reconstructor$
sudo python reconstructor.py

Reconstructor -- (c) Reconstructor Team, 2006
Version: 2.5
http://reconstructor.aperantis.com

Comprobando dependencias...
gcc NOT FOUND (needed for Usplash generation and VMWare/Qemu
installation)
libbogl-dev NOT FOUND (needed for Dapper Usplash Generation)
usplash-dev NOT FOUND (needed for Usplash Generation)
fakeroot NOT FOUND (needed for Alternate Key Package Building)

Faltan las siguientes dependencias:
gcc
libbogl-dev
usplash-dev
fakeroot

Por favor instala las dependencias y reinicia reconstructor.

I have a custom ditribution of Ubuntu 6.06 LTS - Dapper Drake Version
called Ubuntu Christian Edition, and it seems to be a distribution
cutomized with Reconstructor...it's a distribution in Spanish by the
way...Here's the text shown in English:

john@john-desktop:~/Desktop/Reconstructor/App/usr/share/reconstructor$
sudo python reconstructor.py

Reconstructor -- (c) Reconstructor Team, 2006
Version: 2.5
http://reconstructor.aperantis.com

Verifying Dependencies...
gcc NOT FOUND (needed for Usplash generation and VMWare/Qemu
installation)
libbogl-dev NOT FOUND (needed for Dapper Usplash Generation)
usplash-dev NOT FOUND (needed for Usplash Generation)
fakeroot NOT FOUND (needed for Alternate Key Package Building)

The following dependencies are missing:
gcc
libbogl-dev
usplash-dev
fakeroot

Please install these dependencies and restart reconstructor.
Installing dependencies: gcc libbogl-dev usplash-dev fakeroot
E: Could not find usplash-dev package

It would be great if you could help me solve this problem, because i
really want to give Reconstructor a try...Thanks

greetings...

here's what to do:  run  sudo apt-get install gcc libbogl-dev fakeroot

you can just ignore (click Ok) on the warning about usplash-dev (there is no usplash-dev package for dapper)

i will get an update that correctly removes this incorrect dependency for dapper...

Ok, but only installs the other tools, i've already done that, but, it
still shows me an error message, because usplash-dev isn't installed
properly, but my system tells me that USPLASH-DEV is already
installed, now you tell me that the dapper distro doesn't come with
the usplash-dev package, so, how can i solve this problem??? i'd
apreciate your help on this topic, because i really want to give
reconstructor a try...thanks and congratulations for your hard work...

you can ignore the error if you have all of them installed.  reconstructor will still run.
