I have some simple patches to allow reconstructor to work on an
Xubuntu release, primarily finding xfce4-terminal in place of gnome-
terminal etc,
I haven't checked the latest 2.5 yet, but assume I would reapply them.
Anyway are these fixes of interest, and if so how should I provide
them, patches, bzr or subversion updates? Which revision system are
you using as your primary VCS? Should I be using Bzr and launchpad or
direct patches directly to you?

Additionally I think it will be quite simple to export a single merge
chroot script that reworks all the modules as a single operation,
which would minimise the repeated 'apt-get update' cycle. In addition
I think this script could be made compatible with UCK, hence allowing
both a script driven solution and an interactive one.

I have found reconstructor to be a great tool for quickly reworking
ubuntu liveCDs, but once I know what I want produced, the script
driven (no GUI) solution is great for adding to cron or web driven iso
image rebuilding.

Thanks for all your efforts

Robert

awesome. we are currently in the middle of reworking the architecture
for reconstructor. the next version will support kde, xfce, and
gnome. there will also be a cli and a save and load feature, as well
as fully automated builds like you are talking.

as of version 2.5, reconstructor should work on xubuntu. terminal
launching now looks for gnome-terminal and if it can't find it, it
resorts to xterm. if you would like to help out, we would welcome
your contributions. jump on IRC and we will give you the rundown...
look for nuclear_eclipse, triplem, or myself - ehazlett

thanks!
