Setup is updating... forever

ReconstructMe v2.0.199
nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+
Windows 8 Pro
Microsoft Kinect for Windows
Kinect SDK/Driver v1.7

When I open the ReconstructMe app, in the lower right hand corner it says "Setup it updating..." but never does anything, it just stays there indefinitely.

This all used to work under the previous version I was using. I forget which version number that was, but I do know that there was no GUI. The application launched from a batch file.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Yep, same thing over here. I run Primesense 1.09 with latest firmware.

Any ideas for this? I'm having this issue as well.
I haven't started things up in a while, and originally when
I started it, it said "Sensor is Updating" for a really long time.

I certainly hope that ReconstructMe didn't update my sensor's
firmware without asking me and now I have a non-working setup.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try to right click the ReconstructMe Icon on the desktop. Go to the second row and click on your Nvidia processor. (I don't know the exact terms because I am from austria and my computers language is german :))

Same problem here.
Updating and updating, sending and sending logs, ... the problema is not solved and any answer got from ReconstructMe.
Wrong program and wrong support.
Any help also welcome.

Mine eventually started working.

Not sure what fixed it. I updated the nvidia drivers,
and instead of letting ReMe pick the computation device
I set it to the nvidia card. It did some long "updates" then
said it was ready.

Not sure how to locate the problem.

hello! can you help me with Setup is Updating issue. i'm on windows 7, kinect v1 1.8 drivers and nvidia latest drivers. what can i do to solve this?
