Hi, I'm trying to set up my Kinect Xbox 360 and ReconstructMe for the first time.
I have an MSI G60 with Intel HD 4600 and GTX765M.
I read the advice and installed latest drivers for both graphics cards and all the Kinect runtime and SDK v1.6 as instructed.
When I launch ReconstructMe GUI I get a setup error saying "Computation device update failed"
I haven't found this reported online anywhere.
Logfile as screenshot is attached.

Any ideas what I need to do?
Thanks very much

It seems to be a problem related to OpenCL. According to the documentation I need a video card and drivers that support OpenCL.
Currently I have an Intel HD 4000 video card, I installed the latest drivers for my card and they support up to OpenCL 1.2.
I hope this information is useful to find a solution to the problem.

Thanks

Same problem with ASUS i7 4700MQ and Geforce GT 750M with latest (331) drivers.

Hello,
I have exactly the same Problem with the MSI G60 Stealth.
Has anyone a solution for this?

I also tried Skanect and it works fine, so it seems that is a problem on recontructMe side.

Thanks

Lindsey,
At the moment the HD series seems not to work with ReconstructMe. We see mid-level compiler errors and assume this is due to the OpenCL shipped with INTEL. As you already solved your problem by switching cards, I won'
t go into further detail. Our hopes are that we see a fixed version of OpenCL for Intel with the next release of Intel drivers.

Best,
Christoph
