MoD Live not booting

Hi,

Has anyone here experience a non-booting device?
My oakley airwave goggle show a black screen and red letter "MOD Live" and does not boot into the dashboard.

Did a factory reset, then got an email from Recon stating: do a factory reset.

It did the trick, and I create my own version of the weather app from the docuements.

Hi paul,
                               I too have similar problem. my recon snow2 is not at all booting, while switch on the device it shows "Recon Instruments" startup screen after that it goes blank.Please help me and is it possible to factory reset the device ??

Hi Sridhar,

We are looking into a fix for this issue. In the meantime please follow these instructions to factory reset a Snow2. Please read them fully before you begin.
  1. Power off the device before proceeding.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds and release.  The blue LED will turn on part way through this step.
  3. Wait 2 seconds. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds and release. The LED will flash quickly after this step.
  4. Wait 2 seconds. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds and release.  The LED will flash quickly after this step.
  5. Wait 2 seconds. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds and release.  
  6. The device will reboot and begin to reset the firmware to the factory version (3.0)  The entire process will take around 5 minutes.
  7. While the device is rebooting, hold the left and right button on your remote until the remote LED begins turns orange (normally it is blue). This will allow you to re-pair your remote when the device reboots.
Once this is done you should go to Recon Engage to update to the latest firmware version.

                Now i HUD is working well. According to your advice i tried to factory reset, after successful factory reset my device starts to work

Hi Kyle,

I have the same problem with my MOD Live... During booting I can see the red MOD symbol and after a few seconds it just turns grey. I followed the reset procedure which is discribed in the MOD Live manual. After that the MOD Live was rebooting and did automatically a firmware update. As it was finished I had the same problem... just a gray screen...
What can I do now?

maybe it wasn't fully charged... I will try it again when it is so far...

mod live is grey screen after factory reset and, goggles are fully charged. the device also will not connect to my pc through the recon app. Can anyone help?
