Hi Matthias,
On MOD Live Bluetooth SPP is fully implemented with all of the functions and limitations of Android 2.3.4. On Recon Jet (coming soon) it will be fully implemented with Android 4.1.*
Our product received Bluetooth SPP qualification so in theory any SPP-compatible device can connect to it. I've seen a developer successfully use a rasberry PI device with a java server transmitting the data via SPP to MOD Live. Having said that, all of our SPP testing has been done between the HUD and an Android smartphone, so to be sure you would have to test yourself.
