"Terrorist" branding of TN mass uprising: URGENT APPEAL to progressive sections

Fwd: Dear all, The current students, youth, farmers and working people- led protest for jallikattu is facing imminent danger from the fascist state & central govts. The so called initiators of this protest Hip Hop Tamizhan Aadhi and Senapathy are no longer backing the protest and in parallel the State govt is bringing in its police (7000 police personnel are now positioned around Marina) and media to create opinions to the Tamilnadu people that the struggle has "successfully ended". *We got called brutes and barbarians by Subramaniya Swamy and his corporate NGO lobby, but now we are being abused as "terrorist extremist anti-socials" by Mr.Hip Hop "Tamizha"*. The struggle that started for jallikattu now has gained enough momentum to rebel against fascist nationalism under the Modi govt., against Hindutva Brahmanism and against global Imperialism, demanding an end to the suffering of people in every corner. Hence to break this momentum the state govt. is willing to use all means such as: 》Spreading false propaganda about how the protest has lost its way from jallikattu and how it has been "hijacked by extremists and terrorist anti-social elements" 》Using police force to forcefully evict students and their lakhs of supporters from protesting venues by means of violence or threats. 》Declaring that the protest is now "controlled" by forces who brainwashed people with so called "anti-national agenda". Lakhs of students and youth and protesting Tamil people are being branded as "extremist and terrorist anti socials" while being deliberately misguided and misinformed. *Hence in this critical situation the responsibility lies on all progressive democratic sections in the grassroots to resist and support people to take the protest in a meaningful direction.* RESIST!
