Getting Rid of Trimmer Caps

One aspect of the 2m receiver design that I'm not satisfied with is the 146MHz BPF. I'll try to get the grounding right, and lay out the parts to minimize pass-through, but I'm not confident that the filter will work as well as it's ideal model would suggest, and I suspect that getting all the trimmers set correctly is going to be non-trivial.

What I'd like to do is replace the LC BPF with a SAW filter. Perhaps this one: http://wireless.murata.com/datasheet?/RFM/data/sf2138b.pdf

It would likely perform better, cost less, and require no tuning whatsoever. The main problem with it is that I haven't been able to find a source that sells it in small quantities. Mouser has it:

At $4.20 they would be a considerable cost savings... the catch being that I have to purchase $2100 worth to get them at that price.

I wonder if the manufacturer would be willing to provide samples or let us purchase a small batch direct from them if we waited to get some from a production run?

They seem to be a meeting place of buyers and sellers of overstock electronics components. I'd never hear of it before, but I attempted to place an order but haven't heard back from the seller yet.

But using hard-to-get parts goes against my philosophy of designing for the masses. I'd really like all the parts to be easily obtained in small quantities, so that anyone can take our schematic, purchase the OSH Park boards, place a few components orders, and build exactly what we developed.
