The concept has evolved over time, but in 2017 it crystalized. The user interface will be implemented using a smartphone or similar device. A Digital Interface Module will be the common element shared by multiple projects, and will provide WiFi and USB connectivity for communication with smartphones, tablets, and personal computers. A Digital Interface Module will plug into a project board to provide much of the support needed for controlling the project.
To explore the possibilities, and test the concept, two diverse projects will be implemented: a radio receiver, and a radio transmitter.
