Hi all,

I just found this powerful path generating/finding toolkit! Thanks to
the developer!

There are two questions that concern me:
1. How to use the recast library?
- I suppose it can be figured out by looking into the sample code
in the project.
2. What is the algorithm used to generated the navigation mesh?
- I only find a very brief introduction at the google code
homepage of the recastnavigation project, and realized that it
consists of 3 steps.
However, I am very interested in knowing the detailed description of
the navmesh generation algorithm.

Could anyone direct me to the answers, especially the one to the
second question?
Thank you very much.

Hi,

The samples are the best place to learn the use for the time being.

The Recast algorithm is explained in these slides:

Few things have been added since, but the overall idea has remained the same.

In general I try to blog quite a bit about Recast and the development
process: http://digestingduck.blogspot.com

Mikko,

Thank you for the instant reply!
I downloaded the slide and found it very explanatory.
