Audio doesn't work in Internet Explorer

Audio is broken in Internet Explorer for almost all the sites I've seen using reCAPTCHA. The MP3 download option works, but the in-browser playback does not.

Here's an example in the wild: http://stackoverflow.com/captcha

(The initial audio instructions play, but it stops before the numbers are spoken.)

The only sites I've seen where audio works in IE appear to be using global keys (which we can no longer generate):

Internet Explorer is getting a 400 Bad Request response code when requesting the audio file.

Any ideas?

It doesn't even work on Google's own site:

(Only plays the audio instructions.)

https://www.google.com/recaptcha/demo/ajax

(Does not play any audio at all.)

Same with me. I have a global key from before and the audio is playing on IE9. I tried to register a new one (not a global key) and the audio is not playing on IE9 browser.

Yeap.. also not working in IE11 (comp mode or not)  :-(
