Hi.
I successfully installed the new Google ReCaptcha API yesterday and tested it locally on VS2012 before uploading it to my website. It worked on both and I was very pleased. I get up today and it doesn't work on either! I am shown the dreaded 9 pictures and told to choose which one has eggs!

The ReCaptcha support page says 'There are one or more of the following reasons why it occurs:'
  • Your browser is old (see minimum browser requirements).
  • Javascript is disabled in your browser.
  • Some of your installed plugins conflict with reCAPTCHA.
  • Unstable network.
Tried it in 3 browsers, all up-to-date. Still no good.
I have JavaScript enabled.
Temporarily disabled all Plugins and still no good.
Doesn't work locally or online so can't be network issue?

I have now tested it using the test keys Google supply here:

https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/faq

and the ReCaptcha app works!

As soo as I change back to my keys, it doesn't. And yes, I have them round the right way :)

Please, any suggestions?

Many thanks,

Nick

No sorry. Doesn’t matter if I am testing locally or actually online, I am always asked to select the pictures. Quite infuriating. I know it’s working because my brother always tells me its fine for him bit never me. Google must have blackballed my IP address I guess.

Please let me know if you ever find the answer!
