Ok... I know it's "flogged to death" (as one user reported), and posted multiple times, but I thought it worth adding a plea from a user rather than a developer.
The ReCaptcha algorithm to create the hard to read words is just getting too hard. A quick shout across an office of 15 people (all clever, sane, and fully abled individuals) received an outstanding "Yes" to the question, "Does anyone else find these ReCaptcha tests too hard recently" ... At a guess 90% of us. This did not used to be the case, and therefore I guess it's due to increasing intelligence in bots, but hey that's only going to get worse, and it's already becoming unusable.
I appreciate that if I was a developer I could opt for a different system, I imagine many will, but my beef is that so many sites I attempt to sign in with use this system, and many times I end up giving up with frustration. It might be 20-30 refreshes to get one slightly suitable, and then if that fails its easy to give up.
I appreciate the issues needed to balance bot vs ease, and perhaps that stats show different, but this has got annoying enough to sign up here and make a point (something I don't think I"ve ever done before), so I hope it helps.
