Hello,
I am websphere portal developer. i want to use this recaptcha in my
application. I have gone throught the site and configured all steps
and able to perform the recaptcha operations in my portlet.

While moving this code to production i am facing problem. Because of
security issues, i can not ping or access any sites from my production
server.

In this case , i am getting error during validation. So could any one
tell me how to validate recaptcha in client side.

The short answer is no.
The long answer is that validating client side without some form of
communication between the server and the API would not stop spam bots.
They'd just ignore the captcha. The only possible way would involve
sending data through form elements with some pretty complex cryptography
that reCaptcha doesn't provide.

Is it set in stone that you cannot get your IT department/service
provider to open up one port to one domain for you to use? If they will
not do that then you are going to have to look for another captcha
solution.

Thanks for the reply Dom,
As i said, my IT department/service provider can not open any port for any domain.
I will try the long approach as u said and if i am not succeed on that , i will go for another captcha solution

I wonder how you will update the production servers if it does not have any outbound Internet access.

That aside, reCAPTCHA is a web service which requires web access. So you'll have to have outbound Internet access to be able to use it.
