I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR HORRIBLE CAPTCHAS

Why is it that your company cannot create a captcha that is readable
by a human being? I am a 30 year computer technician who has seen it
all, and I AM REALLY TIRED of having to try fifteen different times to
enter into a site thanks to your SHITTY product!!!! EVERY DAY i get
calls from people asking if there is a way to get past YOUR product
because nothing they type works! A computer cannot read text in a
picture!!! Why does it have to look like it's in greek or ancient
egyptian? You cannot tell me that you can't come up with a better way
to keep a computer from being able to read something. GET WITH THE
PROGRAM!! From this day I REFUSE to use ANY SITE that uses your
horrible product.

I am just waiting for some additional enhancements to be completed, like:

 

- a sentence, "how do you spell mark's name?" or "what is 6 divided by 3?"

- some additional noise within words being shown (squiggly lines, colors, etc.)

 

I "never" have problems getting it to accept what I enter.

 

Poor.. poor.. poor.. spammers / hackers....

I fail to see why the hell you are using this if you hate it so much. If you don't like something, there's no point in flamming, simply don't use it, make suggestions for the developers on how it could be improved or create your own simple anti spam system like I have done.

I agre with the OP. reCAPTCHA is a blight. In fact, I found this thread because in frustration I typed "recaptcha is horrible" into Google to see if it was just me.

I'm 29 and have great vision, but reCAPTCHA drives me up the wall. I think the difficulty has gone way up over time, because it wasn't always this hard.

I would *never* put reCAPTCHA on my own site. If I can't do it, what about middle-aged people with less than perfect vision and a general sense of frustration with complex computer technologies. reCAPTCHA is the electronic equivalent of making customers jump through hoops. It's absurd.

I know the OP was venting and therefore you all want to dismiss him, but I suggest that you take his venting a little more seriously. I'm sure that he (and I) are not the only users who are sick of reCAPTCHA, especially when better CAPTCHA technologies exist out there.

Removing it from my sites It's loosing me business it's too difficult. Around a year ago it started and a simple refresh would bring up a legible word but now it's about hitting refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh..... and eventually one comes up that is legible. Have switched to the new playthru captcha which is actually fun! For an alternative people should check this out: http://areyouahuman.com/ . Great for any games or social website and easy enough for people to install on their own CMS's if your not building a site from the bare code!

In every corner of the internet there hides a trollish little slew of conformist drones who will invariably treat people's justified frustrations with this tired old line. "If you just play nice with the powers that be, everything will be fine. It's your fault."

Google's captcha is IRRITATING, UNWORKABLE, TIRESOME, AND IDIOTIC. No one wants to "work with them" until one day they decide to "fix" the problem. I'm sure they're smart enough to already know this captcha crapola is a NUISANCE. I'm sure the original poster was not the first to complain.

But hey, it must be we who have the attitude problem. The Google machine is always right, we should just take the obedient sheep stance you have. It'll sure make life easier.

I totally agree that google recaptcha is getting more and more difficult as the years go by! It started off so simple but now I often get a squiggle slithering accross the box that does not even look like it is in the standard alphabet! I work doing online promotion on blogs and forums for fashion brands and captcha is really making this a slow and unbearable process. Particularly recaptcha! I have had enough and have recently even had to start using a captcha bypass browser extension called rumola to enter the little enigmas for me! It seems to work really well so if any of you are at your absolute wits end like me I would recommend it! 

Google, I know its important to reduce spam but when real people cannot get by the puzzles maybe you need to think about going in another direction because, clearly, this one is not working!

I am so sick of CAPTCHA ...why it has to be that tough man? Computers, I believe, cannot get the text from  pictures any ways, then why it has to be funny? The developers have lost their mind in making this stupid idiotic stuff. Not all are like minded to understand it. It just adds to frustration and aggression. Personally it sounds like you have a serious attitude problem, and that you
are very immature. A Mature person would not be whining and getting rude,
they would be trying to help google / recaptcha make their service "better."
now stop whining, or get off the list.
Quite frankly I am sick of people like you whining and complaining like 2
year olds about something that could be improved with some helpful feedback,
instead of acting like immature, angry children.
