First the images are too small for my linking.

Secondly I made a coreect selection for more than three times but still get a message to redo do it again, really its a complete waist of time.

Please remove that rather stick to something visible and simple like words and numbers.

There are a lot of complaints specifically about the "Street Name Sign" reCAPTCHA's -- i don't know if Google is trying to use some sort of an algorithm to identify the pictures that they use and that algorithm is wrong at least as often as it is right or if the images are initially identified by someone who lives in a place where they have never seen a Street Name Sign, but there are definitely incorrect images being tagged as Street Name Signs in reCAPTCHA.
See https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/recaptcha/CWEHs4AgDOk for an example where reCAPTCHA thinks "No Littering" is a street name.

Then, on the other hand, we have another posting in here with multiple screen captures of reCAPTCHA sets which the poster says are asking for Street Name Signs (the post is in a language I can't read, but the title and time images are clear enough).  In each set there are not more than one image that might be a street name sign

I would second that. I spent 10 minutes trying to select street signs and got it right only after perhaps 10th time. The problem is that if you are not used to this type of captcha, you are quite lost - no message is shown that I got selections wrong, just another set of images is loaded - should I then think I did something wrong or is this a freakin' bug. Then this box where you have to paste code after you get the captha right - I even started thinking maybe I have to type in something there - why would it be displayed until I have what to copy and paste. Completely bad implementation, huge waste of time, I really hope this gets fixed. The claim "easy on humans, hard on bots" is very untrue.

We use the captcha in our company. Everything was going well until yesterday. Users started to complain about the captcha. First of all, it was working on my computer but when i cleared the cache, the problems just started. I'm pretty sure it was from Google. This time we have been very lucky cause not all the users had the problem and l'm a little disapointed about the facts that nobody from Google is here to explain what happened and for this reason, we are looking for another alternative.

I agree.  We are having the same problems.  We are a higher ed customer of Google.  They will provide support for their core services, but not for recaptcha.  We have to go through our portal provider to get the recaptcha code removed from our site until Google the problem.  Our portal provider can't help today because it's a national holiday in India (Ghandi's birthday).

I am troubleshooting someone having this issue and it appears to be a system specific issue.

Make sure you are up to date on java and have the latest browser.
Check installed Java:

Are you saying that the recaptcha need the last Java version to work ?

It is not mentionned in support page : https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/faq.

I'm  not from the USA: I don't know what their street names signals look like, and there are also signals in chinese; are we supposed to read chinese?. Milkshakes are not juices. Correct translation for "sweets" in spanish is "golosinas" not "dulces", beacuse "dulces" includes all kinds of pastries and cakes. I don't know wether that undistinguishable colored patch is edible or not... I'm forced to go for the sound captcha way too often, and it takes a lot of time to solve. They're supposed to be a protection against bots, not such a frustrating experience for humans.

Sorry for my bad english

Tell me please, you are showing your street signs , which themselves do not understand ? Want to none worked ? You can not make more than 10 times to repeat . Well, let's say we made a mistake in your idiotic street signs . But when he brings flowers, cars , oceans , mountains , waffles can not make a mistake and need repeated again . Unclear situation you have going on! You can answer in the end! We are not the ones you write !

OMG Google - you're really piss off your users! WTF are you doing? Solving this shitty recaptchas for 10-15 times average - is real bullshit for our users!!! Remove street signs and names captchas - they're totally broken, and make 1 right choice to be enough. Same with 2nd no JS version of recaptca2. Stop fuck your consumers at last!!!
