Is it possible to use reCaptcha on an internal network without an external domain?  Basically I would like to use it on a private network of computers but also want to eliminate the chance of a bot getting access to the site and creating an account.  The network is not directly connected to the internet due to various firewalls that I have no control over, however access is still given to various people to get through the firewalls and connect to anything on the inside.  I would like to use reCaptcha as extra precaution to eliminate the chance that a bot is able to get through the firewalls and create an account.

No, you will have to contact Google servers to validate the answer.
