We recently added reCAPTCHA 2.0 to our site and now we're occasionally getting a message from IE about Java. Here is the message:

The page you are viewing uses Java. More information on Java support is available from the Microsoft website.

Our site does not make use of Java on the client (no applets, etc.) so this is unexpected. This appears to happen when the user clicks "I am not a robot" and before the user is verified. It happens only on machines without Java installed, and seems to happen only once and then a reboot is required to get it to appear again.

Any else experiencing this?

Same here, even in newer IE browsers :(

@Google: Is there a possibility to disable the use of the Java Plugin?

Same here.  What is Java used for...to play audio?

We're having the same issue.  Any ideas?

For me this always happens in IE 11 (and below) on our reCaptcha site (Help->About reports: "Version: 11.0.9600.17905, Update Versions: 11.0.21 (KB3065822)" ) .

In fact, the google demo page also has this issue, so I'm pretty sure it's a Google problem (https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api2/demo):

If anyone has a solution or suggestion to stop this message appearing, then I'd be very grateful for any input!

We're having the same issue. Is there any way to contact google directly regarding this?

Is there an update on this problem?  We are getting the same issue.

even worse is when Chrome informs you that it wont load java because it's still using the NPAPI which is no longer supported.
I haven't seen this for IE yet, but i did have the above issue with Chrome.  What is going on?!

I'm not getting a Java message but the audio is not playing. Is this related?
