Clicking ReCaptcha check-box not triggering the Image selection panel in Firefox brwoser

Using Google ReCaptcha V2.

Following are the steps I tried:

1. First time ReCaptcha widget shown in the login page.

2. Tick the check-box and verify you are human by selecting the valid images in the popup selection panel

3. Green Tick mark is shown in the recaptcha widget

4. Keep the page idle without login into the page.

5. After sometime, notification will be shown in the reCaptcha widget "Your verification has been expired.Please check the box again"

6. After that , if I select the checkbox in the recaptcha widget , the popup image selection panel is coming at all.

It is blocking the user to login into the application because of this issue. Only workaround is reload the browser page which is not acceptable workaround for us.

Can you folks provide some solution for this???
