Hi,
I have just registered a new reCaptcha (v.2), and dropped in the site and secret keys into Joomla's (v.3.4.1) default captcha-reCaptcha plugin. It comes up with the following message each time.

Error

reCAPTCHA plugin needs a site key to be set in its parameters. Please contact a site administrator.

I have deleted the original key, and created a new one, with the same result.
I have swapped the site/secret key around, with the same result.

I can't find any solutions on the web, and only one other post mentioning the same problem, which also remains unresolved.

Any ideas? Thanks.

To clarify - the reCaptcha works, but there is a big red box with the error message, that appears on every page where the recaptcha is active, on every refresh.

I have managed to get it to work for the default Joomla contact form, so that the error box doesn't appear.

Global configurations/site settings - captcha set to 'none selected'
User manager/options - captcha set to 'default'
Contacts component/options/form - allow captcha... set to 'captcha-recaptcha'

nb removing the self-contained IF statement (the joomla /captcha/recaptcha/recaptcha.php file) which brings up the error box, causes the captcha box to disapper entirely.

I was having a similar problem but on my Contact Form. It would send me the test email yetit would put the big red Error box at the top, anyway. Did you find your answer? I found mine was an interaction between a login module (BT Login). I had to turn off the module on the Contact page (I had set the login module assignment to "All"). Not sure if you have any modules like that that could be interfering but thought I'd mention it.

That could be it - I have BT Login enabled... I don't have time to look into yet, but will post results as/when I can.

Thanks :)
