Since adding a Recaptcha version 3 key to my site (with Wordpress contact form 7), my web site has slowed to a crawl, the shared hosting has gone over its memory limit and I find the obtrusive Recaptha floating icon at the bottom right of every web page. It has not stopped incoming spam thru my contact form. Why in the world is this version 3 designed like this?
It seems to load down my server with it's bloated scripting on every page. The floating recaptcha icon at bottom right on the pages is soooo irritating distracting and old school (I remember when HP used to load a floating icon on their printer driver pages -- it was the worst).
So what's the deal with this Recapctha v3? Does it really need to load on every page of a website to be effective? Would putting it just on the contact form page be adequate?
Thanks for any thoughts or observations!
