Hi - I've implemented the invisible reCaptcha 2 and it's working fine.

However for testing purposes, and to check the end user experience if the challenge is displayed, is there a way I can force the challenge to appear?  As in any parameters I can pass to the api, or data-xxx fields I can set?

Hi Gavin,
Your question eludes to my question. What is the normal mode of operation for reCaptcha V2?  In all of my dev testing, each click of the "I'm not a robot" checkbox resulted in the user being challenged, so I was under the impression the user is presented with a challenge 100% of the time, however in our QA environment, I am rarely being presented with the challenge after clicking the checkbox?  Is this behavior explained anywhere? I assume this is normal since you are inquiring about forcing the challenge.
Thanks,
 Ed

Hi Ed

I was merely trying to find a way to always enable the challenge to see how it would appear to end users should they get challenged, and also ensure that successfully passing a challenge allowed the site to continue it's operation. However it seems there isn't such a mechanism in the api.  I did however manage to force it by using incognito tab in chrome (or private tab in firefox).

Strangely enough in my QA environment, we've been seeing the challenge almost everytime, while my dev environment I rarely see it), tho we suspect it may be because our QA envronment is more locked down and also not exposed to 'real' traffic, meaning the recaptcha (ie google) has little to no information on the site, so reacts more strictly; again however this is just conjecture as I haven't found much in-depth information on the recaptcha operation to confirm this!

I think the normal mode should be what you see in your QA, ie rarely being challenged.

regards
Gavin

May I give you a suggestion? get away from reCAPTCHA. Its broken, and more people start to avoid sites using it.
