Slow reCAPTCHA refresh

I have very annoying problem with google search reCAPTCHA as shown in the gif below.

It's been a while since I first noticed that whenever I have to solve "click images until none left" type reCAPTCHA, it's takes a ridiculous amount of time for a clicked image to fade out and a new one to appear.

This is only happening in Chrome incognito mode and only with google search reCAPTCHA.

I've never encountered such a problem on other sites or when using Mozilla.

I just had this problem on Chrome, normal mode. The new images fade in over about 6 seconds each and the verification took me 10 minutes (I checked my internet history).
