Hey Guys,
I have a dewalt 321 Jig Saw. I broke the blade off up into the collet and it
will not come out. I haven't started disassembling it yet, but it doesn't
look that easy to do. There apparently is a couple of set screws holding the
collet on, but I don't have one that fits (very tiny, if they are set
screws). Short of sending the saw off to a service center for repair, what
can I do, any suggestions?

Thanks..

Put the rest of the blade back in so you get maximum contact
area, then use a strong magnet to pull it out?

Joe
whose grandson found out how to pinch himself with a pair of
old hard drive magnets this weekend.

If you loosen the blade clamp and then run the saw, will it sling the broken
piece out?

Alternatively, loosen the clamp, hold the saw by the handle, and swing your
arm in a big circle as fast as you can. Centrifugal force might work for
you.

Or Against you. A slip of the fingers will send the saw in to orbit. and
hopefully not dislocate your sholder. LOL.
I think running the saw will have more force than your arm could endure.

Just think, the service center would have had a minimum charge and they
would have done the same thing. Pretty handy group, huh?

LOL (not sure I should be laughing) - knowing how strong they are - I can
just picture it.
