I just bought an old Craftsman Jointer at an auction and I would like
to get a copy of the owner's manual. I have searched numerous
discussion groups and have had no luck. I also checked with
Craftsman/Sears and they no longer sell/publish the manual. It was
made in 1974, model #113.20651, 1 hp, and the label reads Craftsman,
Simpson-Sears Limited. I would be more than happy to pay
shipping/copying expenses if you cannot scan it for me.

Hi Bill,

I have the manual for a Craftsman Jointer - 113.20621.  it is a 6 inch, somewhere around that age, give or take a few years. If you think that a copy of this one might help you, I can e-mail you a copy. Let me know.

Hi Jack,

I have one of those ol' 6" Craftsman Jointers, bought it new way back in 80, and after many many moves the manual has disappeared.  When I bought it I was just starting to play around with wood, built a few bookcases, and then didn't touch it again for probably  15 years!  Now I'm 50, the kids are grown and starting to get back into playing with wood again.  If you would e-mail me a copy I would really appreciate it.

Hi Dave and Bill

Lets make it easy. I have posted the manual for the Craftsman 6 inch jointer mod. 113.20621 for anyone who wants it. It is on

It will print to full size 8 1/2 X 11 page. Or viewable on site.

Did you ever find your owner's manual for the Craftsman jointer? I haven't gone out to the shop to look, but I think I've got one. I do have the jointer itself. It's nearly 11 full years after the fact, but what the heck. Let me know if you still need it.

The 113.20650 is a 6" jointer. According to Sears Parts/Direct, the 113.20651 is an 8" jointer. However, this site - http://www.purplewave.com/cgi-bin/mnlist.cgi?111011/F9285 - shows a 113.20651 to be a 6" model.

Sears Parts/Direct link. The diagram shows an 8" jointer: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Craftsman-Parts/All-Products-Parts/Model-11320651/0247/0700000/00001513/00001?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=11320651 . It lists the manual as NOT avalable.

The part number for the manual for the 6" jointer is #67007. The part number for the manual for the 8" jointer is #67010.

The 6" and the 8" jointers may be identical, other than size of, and for, the blades, otherwise, either instruction manual (not the parts manual) might be able to be used for either machine.

On this Instruction Guide - http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/222/588.pdf - 6" jointers have either a 1/2 or 3/4 HP motor. An 8" jointer has either a 3/4 or 1 HP motor. Bill's jointer has a 1 HP motor.

The above scattered info may be some explanation as to why a manual, specifically for the 113.20651, is so hard to find, anywhere. I'd be tempted to use the OWWM's download for the 113.20650 as an instruction guide and the Sears Parts/Direct diagram for available parts.

I hope this helps.

Sonny - something is very wrong with your newsreader. Look at how your most
recect post appeared. Look at the very top at how the first line(s) are
completely jumbled together.

If people are going to post to usenet, then why don't they at least pay
attention to how their newsreaders are configured and how their posts
appear?

Actually, that's almost what I wanted to select/include, a reference to both Parso's and Bill's posting. It was suppose to include parso's "Did you ever find your owner's manual for the Craftsman jointer?", but apparently that got deleted or left out, and I missed it, before posting. *The recent cold weather probably screwed with my brain.

Often, rather than referencing the whole of folks' posts, I try to select just the specific parts I comment about.

This is an HTML version of the manual that has parts diagrams;

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/11320651/0247/0700000.html

http://powertool.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/sears/11320680.html
There is a PDF version that you can download from this site.
